has a new bridge publication for the newcomer and intermediate players
with the name of "Bridge Students 'R Us." I
have just read the first issue and it is, without doubt, one of the
very best of the many publications aimed at this group.
The advice is very good and, most importantly, the reasons behind the rules are thoroughly stated in a simple, easy to understand manner. Most of the advise given is pretty normal by today's standards, and when they deviate from the mainstream the author says so. The publications is done in a light hearted and amusing fashion which should appeal to newer players. The format is easy to read and the graphics are well done. If you are a club owner or manager this would be a super publication to have your newer players take a look at. All in all this is a hard publication to beat. The publisher is offering a copy of the first issue free and the subscription price is $25.00 for one year or $45.00 for two years.
